Our Wedding

Kim and Claude’s love story began with a well-meaning set-up during a visit to a mutual friend in ICU in September 2015 — proof that romance can bloom in the most unexpected places.Kim was instantly smitten with Claude’s impressively toned calves, confidently showcased in a pair of shorts, while Claude was completely won over by Kim’s vibrant personality… and her remarkably red sunburn.From that day on, their relationship grew through laughter, adventure, and Claude’s ongoing quest to dazzle Kim in the kitchen. In the early days, it was prawn spring rolls. Ten years later, it’s evolved into enthusiastically pickling just about anything he can get his hands on. Kim has lovingly taste-tested every phase of his culinary journey.Life with Kim, however, is never predictable. Her spontaneous spirit ensures that every chapter of their story is filled with fun, surprises, and just the right amount of chaos.In May 2025, during a romantic afternoon at Langebaan Lagoon — with the tide quickly rolling in — Claude decided the moment had arrived. He got down on one knee and asked Kim to spend forever with him, telling her that she makes him want to be a better man.Now happily engaged, Kim and Claude are planning their dream wedding and looking forward to a lifetime of love, laughter, adventure, and undoubtedly a great deal more pickling — together.

What is the dress code?Smart Casual, men don't worry you don't have to wear a tie or jacket! How do I RSVP?There is an RSVP tab on the website, please follow the prompts. What is the RSVP date?The deadline to RSVP is 31st March 2026. Please make sure you reply on time as final numbers are due. If you do not RSVP in time, we will assume you are not coming. What is the weather like in the area?The average temperature inSeptember in Greyton is 15° with a max temp of 20° and min temp of 7°. Is the wedding indoors or outdoor?The ceremony is outdoors and the reception is in aStone Barn.Will there be an open bar?A cash bar will be available. Can I take pictures and post them to social media?We don't mind at all but don't forget to tag us.

Afternoon – At LeisureFree time to explore the farm, unwind, or catch up with friends and family. 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM – Italian-Themed Welcome Dinner (Venu: Kloof Lodge on the Farm)Join us for a relaxed evening of Italian food, wine, and great company as we kick off the celebrations. Dress Code:Italian-inspired chic (optional!)Feel free to immerse yourself — linen, summer dresses, Amalfi vibes — or simply come as you are. Wednesday, 30th September – Wedding Day 💍Morning – Explore &amp; EnjoyYou have the whole morning to enjoy at your own pace.Explore the farm, take a scenic drive into Greyton town, and soak up its beauty over a delicious breakfast or brunch. Late Morning / Early Afternoon – At LeisureReturn, relax, and get ready for the big celebration. 3:30 PM – Wedding Ceremony BeginsPlease be seated by 3.15pm sharp. Afternoon into Late – CelebrationsFollowing the ceremony, the celebrations continue with drinks, dining, dancing, and plenty of joy — carrying on into the night. Thursday, 1st October – Farewell 🤍10:00 AM – Check-OutPlease ensure accommodation is vacated by this time. Morning – DeparturesFinal goodbyes, hugs, and safe onward travels.

Itinerary

The farm offers plenty of accommodation, which we have secured for all our guests. Once you (hopefully!) RSVP yes to our wedding and the RSVP deadline has passed, the farm will contact you directly with all the accommodation details.The cost is R1,700 per person, which includes a two-night stay from 29.09.2026 to 01.10.2026. Should you choose to stay on the farm, please note that the booking is for both nights.The cottages are self-catering, so please keep this in mind when planning breakfast on the morning of 30 September. Perhaps consider taking a scenic drive into Greyton town, and soak up its beauty over a delicious breakfast or brunch.If you have any accommodation-related questions, please contact evbreda@iafrica.com. Directions to Elandskloof Elandskloof is 120 km from Cape Town and approximately 1.5hr travelling time.- Travel past the airport down the N2 towards Somerset West over Sir Lowry’s Pass.- 8.1km past Botriver/Hermanus turnoff, turn left onto the R43 to Villiersdorp.- Travel for 13.5km on R43 then turn right to Helderstroom / Greyton.- After 10.5km, over a river and past Helderstroom Prison Farm on the left, the tar will end.- Continue for 2.4km when the road bends right, veer left and follow the “Elandskloof” sign to the right.- Travel across an open field, up a small hill through orchards and to the Elandskloof main gate.
